Peter Stuttaford

Chief Executive Officer

In 2018, Peter Stuttaford was appointed CEO of Thomassen Energy, located in Rheden, The Netherlands. Peter has over 25 years of experience in gas turbine design and development, and until recently lead the PSM Product Engineering unit. He holds 55+ patents in the gas turbine and energy field. As a global citizen, Peter enjoys traveling, sailing, biking and exploring new boundaries. A key focus is developing clean technologies and retrofits for gas turbine integration with the growing installed base of renewable energy. Peter started his career at Pratt & Whitney Canada, and holds a PhD from Cranfield University, England, a MS from the University of Florida, USA, and a BS from the University of Natal, South Africa.

Mark Kooister

Commercial Director

Mark is responsible for the commercial operations at Thomassen Energy. He is a professional in sales, marketing, and business development with more than 30 years of experience in the turbomachinery industry. Mark started as a naval engineer and assumed several sales management positions with increasing responsibility in Dutch, German, and French subsidiaries of Voith and Flender. He led a startup development company for angular gear transmissions. Mark joined Thomassen Energy in 2004. He holds a mechanical engineering degree and studied Business Economics at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands

Han den Boer

Chief Technical Officer

Han is technical responsible for the entire range of products, service and developments. Previously he has been Manager Operations and subsequently assumed increased responsibilities. Han has over 40 years of experience in the energy industry, including design, repair, manufacturing, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning of gas turbines. In 1992 Han joined Thomassen Energy and has assumed several management positions in increasing responsibilities in manufacturing, field, repair and engineering. Han obtained his BSc in Mechanical Engineering in 1976.

Mark van der Borg

Supply Chain Manager

Mark is responsible for Supply Chain and Facility Management. He is a professional in Procurement and Logistics and has more than 25 years experience in the gas turbine industry. Mark started his career as a buyer at Thomassen Energy and after 10 years decided to work in different industries in the Oil & Gas and packaging industries like Kampstrup and Alcan as Procurement and Logistics Manager. Mark re-joined Thomassen Energy in 2005.  Mark has the NEVI 1 + NEVI 2 degree specifically related to Procurement and Logistics and completed the MEAO.

Eddy van Binsbergen

Chief Financial Officer

With more than 30 years of experience in finance positions within several companies and businesses Eddy ensures a solid and sustainable financial management in order to guarantee the companies continuity and the ability of the company to fulfil her obligations towards her stakeholders by effectively leading the Administration, Finance, Control and ICT functionalities of the company.

Eddy joined the company in 2009 and is part of the Management Team since 2015 when he accepted his current position as CFO. He holds several degrees in his professional discipline.

Michèle Konkol

Manager Project Management

Michèle Konkol, working at  Thomassen Energy for more than 15 years, is responsible for the Project Management of all orders awarded. Her responsibilities include projects, contracts as well as spare parts processing in accordance with QSHE requirements, looking at margin improvement and turn-over increase, timely execution and customer relation management. Michèle`s background is Wholetrade & International Trade Specialist and she earned her diploma at the German Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Mike Willems

Human Resources Manager

Mike was appointed Human Resource Manager of Thomassen Energy Rheden the Netherlands and Thomassen Gulf located in the UAE as of 2007, leading the HR team of both the companies by providing leadership on HR management and support to the management of Thomassen Energy. Mike has over 20 years of experience in international environments, working with a.o. SC Johnson, holding a Bsc in Human Resource Management.

 

Michèle Jonkhout

Quality & SHE Manager

Michèle joined Thomassen Energy in 2019 and is responsible for quality assurance, employee and contractor’s safety and health, and for environmental protection. In the seventeen years before, she held several corporate, business unit and regional positions in the HSE domain at AkzoNobel, one of world’s leading paints and coatings suppliers. Michèle holds a master’s degree in health sciences from Maastricht University and in Toxicology from Wageningen University. Michèle is also a qualified ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 auditor.

Murat Gorur

Service & Workshop Manager

Murat was appointed Service & Workshop Manager of Thomassen Energy in 2019. Murat is responsible for Service Engineering, Field Service and Workshop. Murat has a vision to ensure the excellence in executions of current portfolio services and to prepare his teams to future. Since 2010, Murat was challenged with wide span of tasks and responsibilities from Engineering to Management within Thomassen Energy. Murat holds a MSc in Management and Engineering from Linköping University in Sweden. Murat enjoys backpacking and exploring, playing field hockey, biking, hiking and training to fly solo.

 

Nicolas Demougot

Nicolas Demougot

Products & Systems Engineering Manager

Nicolas is heading the Engineering department at Thomassen Energy and held positions in both the service and the development sides of the industry over his 20-year career.

Nicolas’ design experience includes world class ultra-low pollutant combustors such as LECIII™ and FlameSheet™. He also led a talented team that designed the highly successful AutoTune control program, a generic, multiplatform optimizer. He took interest in Hydrogen over 25 years ago and has both personal and professional goals of helping with kick starting the Hydrogen economy.

Nicolas owns an Engineer degree from the National Superior School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in Poitiers, France and is undergoing Executive Master education with L’Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France. Nicolas owns several patents related to combustion and control design.
